Secret Remedy by Quinn Allman, guitarist for The Used

Concerts and live music have always been pretty fun for me. There always seems to be a new experience surrounding getting there, being there, finding a way home or pressing on to another setting. Plus going to shows has always been a secret remedy for me. Ever since I was able to attend shows whether at a venue or house party i've found that the effect is very life affirming. Feeling the energy not just from the music coming through you but from the room and the people who you share space and time with for that moment is very special. Unlike other forms of entertainment, at a concert you are trapped in the moment there, vulnerable and without rules. No matter what happens whether you leave the show inspired, feeling lifted or with a splitting headache, you were as much a part of the moment and alive with the sound as the music itself. A good concert will stay with you your entire life and augment you in ways you never knew you could feel.
